Test your Ears: Building instructions hardware
It is advised to first mount the SMD components. If he other components are placed you not easily get there.
If you do not have SMD solder paste and a solder-oven work as follows:
First solder only one corner pin of the chip. Check with a looking glass if the other pins are correct on the pads. Shift it if needed. Then solder the diaginal pin. again check with the looking glass. Now solder all pins but be sure that the chip cannot move anymore. Do not worry about short circuits. At last remove most of the solder using desoldering wick. Check again that there are no shorts and that all pins are soldered.
Led's
Mount the Led's with suitable long wires so they can be
bent to the front of the box
Box.
Use the following dimension drawing for the holes in the box. The
dimensions are device-nominal in mm, so make the holes somewhat larger.
All horizontal dimensions are from
the heart of the mounting hole near the leds. The vertical dimensions
refer to the upperside (component side) of the PCB.
